Merle Mapes Scholarship Fund

Objective:  Financial aid will be available to assist graduate anesthesia students that choose to practice anesthesia in rural or medical shortage areas of Nebraska.

Scholarship Amount:  $1000 per year will be awarded.

   Application:  Senior anesthesia students should submit the following to the address below:

1-     Personal letter to NANA stating their qualifications and specific area or hospital where they will be working.

2-     Letter of recommendation from programs director, CRNA, physician etc…

3-     Applications should be completed by February 1^st.

Selection:  Qualified applicants will be selected from the following panel:

·        CRNA from North Central Anesthesia Services

·        Current President of the Nebraska Association of Nurse Anesthetists

·        Jane Mapes
