Searching for a CRNA to practice in a rural 25 bed
critical access Basic Trauma hospital in Western Nebraska. Independent practice
providing anesthesia for bread and butter cases with no supervision, as well as
participate in a growing active pain clinic practice. Competitive salary and
benefits including malpractice, medical and dental/vision and paid continuing
education. Applicant would be responsible for:
- Administer anesthesia to a wide variety of
patients including general surgical, orthopedic, obstetrical, ENT, podiatry
and dental patients. Be responsible for post anesthesia and post operative
pain management
- Participation in the stabilization of
trauma patients, and airway management of critically ill patients.
- Participating in an active OB service with
about 100 deliveries a year with about 80% of those requesting epidural or
intrathecal analgesia.
- Participating in and active pain management
clinic. Opportunities to attend continuing education in pain management will
be available.
- Being a full voting member of medical staff
with participation in medical and hospital committees. Medical staff is very
supportive of the CRNA practice and encourages full use of skills and
knowledge.
This position is available in the town of Alliance, NE. The community of 10,000
is very supportive of the hospital and medical staff. Alliance is located about
2 hours driving time from Rapid City, SD and Cheyenne, WY and is 4 hours from
Denver, CO. There are very good public schools and an elementary parochial
school, as well as a local junior college. There are plenty of opportunities for
recreation including hunting, fishing, boating golf and sports.
